Why I Love HighLevel

February 13, 20243 min read

Today I’m going to write about something I don’t often express. For years I’ve prided my business on being tech agnostic. I don’t believe one piece of tech outweighs the limelight any more than another piece of tech. I still believe this is true. My goal for all entrepreneurs is that they pick what will work best for them, use it fully, and stick with it over time.

One of the reasons I got into supporting entrepreneurs is because I heard over and over about (mostly female) entrepreneurs who had a grand hobby and what was holding them from launching their business fully into the marketplace was the tech piece of the business. Most of them were using spreadsheets, all sorts of ways to get meetings and basically leaving money on the table every time they were networking or speaking somewhere because they were trying to build a business manually.

I discovered something in the almost 20 years I’ve been online. I had a knack for making the tech simple and easy for entrepreneurs by learning the system and either teaching it back to them for them to get up and going or doing it with them/for them as part of their team. In doing this, I have explored - and become an expert in many of the SaaS products entrepreneurs use every day.

SaaS means Software as a Service. Instead of you developing your own program to make things happen, the company developed it and charges you to use it. For example, Calendly, Clickfunnels, Asana, and almost everything you use to run your business.

I am often out in front of the market watching what is being developed and learning where the world is going. I am always looking for something the entrepreneurs in my circle and on my list can use that will help them succeed, but is still simple enough for them to use. When I find something, I start using it internally, pushing all the buttons, learning all about the use cases for it, and watching the community that’s built up around it.

[Go] High Level (GHL) is one of those products that I’ve watched since it hit the marketplace.  I have seen many all-in-one platforms get a bunch of users at a very low one-time price at the beginning and then fizzle out because they can’t develop what their community needs, so I started my intense research. I’ve been in the community since before their first agencies hit the million-dollar mark. I’ve watched the owner be the spokesperson and active every week in the community. I’ve watched the rate of development and the interactions where the company takes the users’ feedback seriously to make it the best product it can be. I was truly impressed with this system and slowly moved my entire company over to GHL about two years ago.

In December 2022, as I was contemplating what 2023 would look like for Services For You, I decided to go all-in on developing an agency. This was a tough decision, as I’ve always wanted to be tech-agnostic and now I’m going to be selling a product. This product helped me in my business to be truly all-in-one. I host 3 different business brands of my own, all the funnels, memberships, courses, payments, invoices and contracts, affiliates, emails/text communications, calendar links, social media marketing, blogs, websites, and everything else I can think up on High Level and I love it. It is so easy to log in each day and get to what I need in one place.

This past year I’ve found that I’ve still been helping entrepreneurs make the right decisions on what SaaS service(s) will be best for them. I am honored that people reach out to me to talk through what they should be using, how to streamline their business and get them online. No one service is right for anyone! And don’t forget my mantras:

Every software has niggly things that don’t do what you want

and

All tech breaks sometimes
